Music Review: Sema (Tamil)

G. V. Prakash, ever since he turned actor, has seen his music career take quite a beating. But Mupparimanam proved otherwise, featuring songs that were fresh sounding and melodious. Sema, his latest offering, proves that run was nothing but short-lived. With a folky backdrop, Sema is what you call a strictly passable fare with the exception of Sandalee, a gorgeous percussive melody sung to perfection by Velmurugan and Mahalingam. It makes me wonder where is the G. V. Prakash who gave us Veyil and Ananda Thandavam.
