Listen: Kendrick Lamar's "LOVE." & "LOYALTY."

Just in case you missed out, Kendrick Lamar dropped his fourth album DAMN. overnight. Encompassing 14 tracks and 55 minutes, it's a considerable shift from his jazz-heavy To Pimp A Butterfly that he released in 2015 to critical acclaim. DAMN., while brimming with politically charged lyrics and introspective musings, is also more radio-friendly and straightforward than its predecessor, making it a sonic outing that's artistic, inventive and appealing. And still uniquely K-Dot (DNA. and HUMBLE. are gold!). On LOYALTY. and LOVE., he joins hands with bad gyal RiRi and LA rapper Zacari, the songs themselves exploring themes of loyalty and love, even as Lamar goes for a slinky smooth Drake-like vibe in the latter. And my god, Rihanna can rap!
