Music Review: Sarrainodu (Telugu)

Composer(s): S. Thaman

Athiloka Sundari has Vishal Dadlani powering the thavil-nadaswaram-laden folky number, but beyond a few nifty arrangements, the song is quintessential Thaman. You Are My MLA, despite its addictive beat, goes overboard with auto-tune, while Private Party, Blockbuster and the title song tend to veer towards the strident, even if their infectious arrangements are hard to resist. The album's highlight is Telusaa Telusaa, a sweet-sounding melody backed by Jubin Nautiyal and Sameera Bharadwaj that pushes all the right buttons, barring the heavy vocal processing that is. Sarrainodu is Thaman aping himself to the best extent possible, but the results are middling at best.

  1. Boyapati had hit the bull’s eyes on choosing the right actor for his story. Well, the mass director and mass actor had created a massy yet family entertainer. Family could watch the film for the kind of family and comedy scenes sans action sequences. One could anyway say the movie reminds his previous mass flicks, this movie certainly falls apart from the others. This film is a mix of creativity, massy elements, comedy and yes along with the punches delivered by Allu Arjun. The story looks very ordinary yet entertaining since Allu Arjun’s skills and Boyapati’s execution made it look fresh. You can see the complete movie Sarrainodu Review at www.teluguodu.com
