Happy, despite that funky jazz tune, suffers from a Endi Ippadi (Enakkul Oruvan) hangover. The anthemic melody Pogiren sees Kalpana Raghavendar in fine form, with the invigorating lyrics and Santhosh Narayanan's soaring arrangements providing perfect foil. Rasathi has had me hooked to it and how! The casual laid-back folk tune, garnished with an enchanting mix of piano, guitar, violin, trumpet and tabla, features top-notch vocals from Lalitha Vijaykumar and is alluring enough to warrant multiple listens. President is majestic and is more situational (and reminiscent of Jurassic Park too), but the string-based Kannadi, Vidiyal Thedi and Kanavugal Sumandhu are just beautiful (those violins, ah heavenly!) and make for a mesmerising listen. Kanneer Mozhi is wonderfully affecting as well, and Santhosh throws in some lovely clarinet into the mix. 36 Vayadhinile is short but effective!
