Gopi Sundar concocts a lovely assortment of strings (that violin interlude!) in the lullaby'ish Kanmaniye with singer Minmini's serene vocals to give company. Equally fabulous is the other male variant sung by Gopi Sundar. The groovy title song comes in two separate versions, and Pavithra Menon's forceful rendition gives it a lot more edge than the other relatively mild version sung by the composer. Engengo Engengo's beautiful sax bits work its magic in the pleasant quasi-qawwali-rock mix, while the Theme song, despite a neat kids chorus, is too short to make an impact. Manjupeyume is ethereal, right from the minimal guitar arrangements, to Najeem Arshad and Mridula Warrier's spotless singing. Shaan Rahman's sole composition Manpaatha is a whopper of a soaring rock ballad, impactful and well-sung by him. Gopi Sundar and Shaan Rahman open 2015 on a winsome note with Mili!
