Music Review: Arrambam (Tamil)

Composer(s): Yuvan Shankar Raja
Film: Arrambam

Shankar Mahadevan's lively vocals breathes life into an otherwise customary Adadada Arrambame, while En Fuse Pochu turns out to be another formulaic fare, but I do like the arrangements though, the pedestrian lyrics aside. If Shakthisree Goplan and Tanvi Shah make Hare Rama Hare Krishna a catchy listen, Melala Vedikudhu rides heavily on Vijay Yesudas, Ranjith and Shweta Mohan's splendid singing. Loads of style and swag aside, Stylish Thamizhachi hits all the expected beats and nothing more. Yuvan Shankar Raja's flip-flop act between mediocrity and brilliance continues with Arrambam. The golden moments are, however, few and far between. More often than not, the album is lacklustre.
