Music Review: Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya

With Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, the upcoming romantic caper starring the soon-to-be real couple Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza, the F.A.L.T.U composer duo Sachin-Jigar open their innings for 2012. Having Atif Aslam and Shreya Ghoshal as the vocalists, the OST begins with a crackler of a melody Piya O Re Piya, which also is the best of the lot. Pee Pa Pee Pa sung by Diljit Dosanjh is a middling listen that rides on the catchy Pee Pa... hook, while Atif Aslam and Monali Thakur's Tu Mohabbat Hai and the Salim-Sulaiman'ish Fann Ban Gayi (Sunidhi Chauhan, Kailash Kher) are passable. The last track Jeene De features impressive singing from Mohit Chauhan and is accompanied by equally brilliant arrangements despite its mild resemblance to Pee Loon, again sung by Chauhan himself (Pritam Chakraborty, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai). TNLHG may lack the allure of the composers' previous outings, but shows occasional streaks of brilliance.
