Music Review: Agneepath

Chikni Chameli, rehashed from the composers' own Marathi track, is formulaic folk fare, but Shreya Ghoshal excels with her energetic singing. Deva Shree Ganesha is an engaging listen bolstered by a catchy bhajan hook. Gun Gun Guna Re, with its folky base, too works well, thanks to Sunidhi Chauhan and Udit Narayan's fabulous singing. While Shak Ka Rutba (Sukhwinder Singh, Anand Raaj Anand, Krishna) is a pleasing sufi number with a wonderfully layered outro, Sonu Niigaam's Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin is an excellent melody characterised by an instantly likeable sweeping tune. O Saiyyan is another standout, extraordinarily beautiful tune and sung to perfection by Roop Kumar Rathod. Ajay-Atul, who made their presence felt in Singham, leave an unmistakable mark with Agneepath.
