Neeyum Naanum is what an A. R. Rahman composition from the 90's would sound like, and it's absolutely captivating in Ajesh's rendition. What makes the song even better is its strings-laden arrangement from Cochin Strings led by Francis Xavier. Haricharan and Shreya Ghoshal fit like a glove for the utterly euphonious semi-classical melody Nee Uravaaga, while Abhay Jodhpurkar confidently leads the arresting rock-classical fusion Venmegamaai. Deepak and Ranjani's energetic vocals add to Ichukkattaa's folky charm, but it's Madhu Balakrishnan who wows (as always) with his flawless singing of the stunning classical composition Kanavugalaal Kalaindhomey. Equally enjoyable is the short but heavy, rock-infused theme song. Idhu Varai-singer Ajesh Ashok makes a noteworthy debut with Paambhu Sattai.
