Music Review: Maaveeran Kittu (Tamil)

Imman steadfastly sticks to his rustic template in Elanthaari and Inaivom - Uyirellam Ondre, although for the latter he throws in a generous smattering of sarangi for good measure. Elanthaari's guitary reprise version, well rendered by Sniti Mishra, comes as a pleasant surprise. Onna Onna's rock flourishes are mostly middling, but Imman scores big time with the Ilaiyaraaja'esque melodies Unkooda Thunaiyaga and Kannadikkala, and the haunting violin instrumental Human Ethics. Maaveeran Kittu sees Imman in a much better form.
