Heavy Rotation: HALFNOISE, Morgan Delt, The Stone Roses & More

I am jamming to The Stone Roses' Beautiful Thing, what you are grooving to?

Joe's Dream (Bat For Lashes) - Minimal, but stunning, that sums up Natasha Khan's haunting other-worldly ballad about a visitation from a dead lover.

Harpy (Blue) (Deakin) - A mesmerising acoustic number from Animal Collective member Deakin released as a special cassette single as part his collaboration with vegan footwear company Keep.

Know the Feeling (HALFNOISE) - Buoyant, synth-soaked melody from ex-Paramore drummer Zac Farro.

I Don't Wanna See What's Happening Outside (Morgan Delt) - Mellow piece of psychedelic lo-fi music that's beautifully retro.

Don't You Need Somebody ft. Enrique Iglesias, R. City, Shaggy & Serayah (RedOne) - Here I was, just weeks back bemoaning the lack of a good mainstream pop song, and now here it is, courtesy Moroccan producer Nadir Khayat aka RedOne. He is no stranger to hits, of course (Lady Gaga's Just Dance, Poker Face, LoveGame, and Alejandro, and Jennifer Lopez's On the Floor were all produced by him), but there's something very absurdly addictive about this bouncy tropical-themed dance number, the cringe-worthy lyrics aside.

Beautiful Thing (The Stone Roses) - 7:01 minutes of absolute incredibleness, and those guitars are giving me life!

Highway Anxiety, The Great Unwind, Kingdom of Jones, Gone Clear (William Tyler) - Listening to William Tyler's Modern Country is an immersive and inviting musical experience, thoroughly enlivened by the man's skillful use of guitar that summons a wide range of moods sans any vocals.
