Music Review: Kapoor & Sons (Hindi)

Amaal Mallik faithfully recreates Badshah's Chull, but the song as such is been there, done that (BOSS's Party All Night comes to your mind, no?). His other offering Buddhu Sa Mann channels his own Roy number Sooraj Dooba Hain and that's all that can be said of it. Benny Dayal-Nucleya composed Let's Nacho is mostly a forgettable mish-mash, but the soundtrack gets an unexpected lift in the predictable but serene melodies Bolna (a stock Arijit Singh ballad set to tune by Tanishk Bagchi) and Saathi Rey (Arko). Kapoor & Sons works barely, thanks to Tanishk & Arko.
