Yeh Fitoor Mera rides on a very Amit Trivedi'ish, haunting soft-rock base, but is nonetheless bolstered well by Arijit Singh and a fantastic string-based orchestration that gradually builds up to a rousing crescendo. Pashmina, sung brilliantly by Amit Trivedi, accentuates the feels further with its sweeping feather-like gentle melodic quotient, while Zebunnisa Humayun Bangash stuns with an outstanding rendition of sorts in the lilting Haminastu and Hone Do Batiyan, where she is joined by an equally impressive Nandini Srikar, their out-of-the-world arrangements, featuring santoor, oud and strings, splendidly complementing the songs in a way no other style would. Sunidhi Chauhan and Jubin Nautiyal take the delightful violin'esque melody Tere Liye to an altogether new level, even as the soundtrack ends on a pulsating, synthy high with Rangaa Re. With Fitoor, Amit Trivedi outdoes himself in the most dazzling fashion, delivering a sumptuous musical confection that's at once delectable and pleasant, at the same making the listener go fitoor (read: mad and crazy)!
