Google+: From a Social Network to an Interest Network

Let's face it! Google+ can and will never replace Facebook. But that doesn't mean it cannot be the next Pinterest. After stripping the network of its Facebook-like social features and giving Hangouts and Photos their own individual spaces, the latest (material) design iteration of Google+ puts Collections and Communities front and center. Now focused around interests, the new Google+ is much simpler, writes Eddie Kessler in a blog post announcing the move.
