In Kannala Kannala, Hiphop Tamizha almost does an Yuvan Shankar Raja, delivering an arresting melody topped by an interesting mix of tabla, ghatam, shehnai and synthesised beats. Kaushik Krish for his part sounds like the Raja junior himself. The title song, with its anthemic electronic soundscape, rides on Bobo Shashi's impactful rendition, even as Aasai Peraasai and Theemai Dhaan Vellum — representing the moral spectrum of good and evil — make for gripping hip-hop tunes in Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swamy's voiceovers. Kadhal Cricket's easy-on-the-ears arrangement works too, and Kharesma Ravichandran's perky vocals complement very well the catchy track (barring her questionable diction, that is). Hiphop Tamizha makes a mini-comeback of sorts with Thani Oruvan.
