With persistent guitar riffs giving it an intriguing feel, Ice Cream is a thoroughly enjoyable retro-modern mix and the singers Himesh Reshammiya, Yo Yo Honey Singh and Palak Muchhal nail it with their enthusiastic rendition. Mohammed Irfan's deeply felt singing salvages the plaintive Dard Dilo Ke, which otherwise feels like a tune suited for a Bhatt soundtrack. Its Reprise version gets a comparatively pacy makeover and has Neeti Mohan to accompany Irfan on the mic. Hai Apna Dil Toh Awara, in Himesh and Yo Yo Honey Singh's voices, reworks Hemant Kumar's classic oldie to endearing results, while Catch Me If You Can, with an array of singers like Himesh, Mohit Chauhan, Mika Singh, Neeti Mohan and Shalmali Kholgade, is at best passable and sounds very familiar to Kaminey's Dhan Te Nan especially in the hook portions.

Surroor's impressive melody soars splendidly and works very well despite Himesh's nasal twang, and Sheeshe Ka Samundar, in two separate versions sung by Ankit Tiwari and Rekha Bhardwaj, is the album's highlight. Lilting and beautifully arranged, the song is an absolute delight to hear. Rekha's is better of the two considering the classical touch Himesh endows it with. Theme of Xposé is largely a middling affair, and of the remixes by DJ Kiran Kamath, the Blues Remix of Hai Apna Dil stands out for its pronounced jazzy flavour. The Xposé is perhaps the best to come from Himesh Reshammiya in a long time!
