Music Review: Uyyala Jampala (Telugu)

Uyyalaina Jampalaina, with its bare minimal arrangements, is a mesmerizing listen, and singers Harshika Gudi and Anudeep Dev do a marvelous job. Sunny M. R. is adequate in the serene Mana Bandham (that flute!), but Arijit Singh does it way better in its Hindi variant Dher Tak Chala. The retro reggae-styled Lapak Lapak Ayipothundi (Harshika Gudi, Bindu, Deepu) is characterized by a bouncy feel, and Nijamga Idi Nenenaa (Harshika Gudi, Sunny M. R.), employing violins and guitars to stunning effect, is a gorgeous melody composed to perfection. Uyyala Jampala is a rock solid effort from Sunny M. R. after Swamy Ra Ra!
