Music Review: Son of Sardaar

The title track is at the most serviceable and less said about the next two tracks Rani Tu Mein Raja and Po Po, the better. The latter is, however, marginally better despite sticking to the predictable Punjabi terrain, which continues in Tu Kamaal Di Kudi. Still Vineet Singh and Mamta Sharma manage to break the tedium to a certain extent; that's not saying much though. I have of late become wary of listening to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan after an endless spate of similar songs, but Bichdann is surprisingly a good listen. Sajid-Wajid's solo offering Yeh Jo Halki Halki Khumariya, again in Rahat's vocals, is quite passable. SoS treads the oft-taken path to mixed results!
