Music Review: Vaidooryam

Chandanathennalai sung by Vidyasagar staples Madhu Balakrishnan and Sujatha is that tuneful melody only he compose, even as Vijay Yesudas and Cicily rock the pleasant and lilting Veerali Thanka. The Maanguyilae Poonguyile (Karagattakaran, Ilaiyaraaja) styled Sundarikkalli sees Vidhu Pratap in top form with his superlative singing, and in Illathannillatha and the devotional Himashaila, K. J. Yesudas and K. S. Chithra lend their vocal might to the poignant compositions, even if they clearly do a lot more for the songs than vice-versa. Vidyasagar is on a roll this year in Malayalam after Ordinary and Diamond Necklace!
