Music Review: Vicky Donor

Vicky Donor sees a horde of music composers in action, but surprisingly the result is interesting and noteworthy. Abhishek-Akshay start off the soundtrack with the bouncy and engaging Rokda (Akshay Verma, Aditi Singh Sharma). Kho Jaane De (Clinton Cerejo, Aditi Singh Sharma) is a gorgeous ear-pleasing melody, while Rum & Whisky (Akshay Verma) and Chaddha (Mika Singh) are run-of-the-mill, yet quite foot-tapping, Punjabi folk numbers. The film's lead actor and MTV anchor Ayushmann Khurrana dons the composer's cap along with Rochak Kohli in the spellbinding Pani Da Rang, sung commendably by Khurrana himself. Donn & Bann's solo offering Mar Jayian (in two versions) too works well, particularly the Romantic version sung by Vishal Dadlani and Sunidhi Chauhan, composed along the lines of Vishal-Shekhar's Tujhe Bhula Diya (Anjaana Anjaani). Vicky Donor is a and thoroughly enjoyable medley.
