Music Review: Tezz

A departure from his recent films, Priyadarshan's Tezz has the music composer duo Sajid-Wajid in place of Pritam. Tere Bina finds singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in fine mettle, but one has to acknowledge the tedium that has begun to set in after listening to scores of similar songs of late. Its female version (Shreya Ghoshal), the obligatory title track and the "item" song Laila (Sunidhi Chauhan) reek of an assembly line quality, while the melodious Main Hoon Shab (Mohit Chauhan), its ear-pleasing tune aside, evokes the duo's earlier Teri Mast Mast Do Nain (Dabangg). Tezz is unsurprisingly a dull and prosaic offering from Sajid-Wajid.
